Introduction

The department was established in the year 1979. Started with 3 teaching faculty, the department currently has 12 staff. Among them 4 are Doctoral degree holders and 4 are pursuing Ph. D.

The Research center at the Department, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, was established in the year 2004. Three students are pursuing Ph.D. degree under the guidance of Dr. K. M. Roopa. Two candidates are awarded Doctoral degree and one is pursuing the same under the guidance of Dr. K.M. Manjula.
