The Mathematics department was established in the year 1979 with three teaching faculty. Currently, the department has 12 teaching and 2 non – teaching staff. Our faculty members specialize in various areas – Fluid Mechanics, Graph theory, Mathematical Modeling, Transportation GIS and applied mathematics. 

The department is headed by Dr. K.M. Roopa. There are four faculty members with Doctoral degree and four faculty members are pursuing doctoral program. As a whole, the department has an active involvement in organizing the workshops and conferences on Mathematical sciences & related softwares.
